CarpForum Donation

The Patrons and Trustees are extremely grateful to the members of CarpForum who have raised £600 to enable the charity to continue to help disabled people access angling possibly for the first time.

BDAA President Terry Moseley said "This is a tremendous boost to our funds, there is lots of money raised for worthy charities through angling, CarpForum has also recognised that angling has its in house charities which are sometimes forgotten when it comes to financial support" Events organised such as the CarpForum fish ins are not only a way of raising funds but socialising, fishing & making new angling contacts.

We are very proud to have been nominated as the recipients of this donation, and will ensure that the money donated is used in a positive way to help others enjoy our sport.

Many thanks
Terry Moseley

The CarpForum have been running various socials (at least 2 to 3 times a year) over the past few seasons. We generally have between 35 and 80 anglers that belong to the forum turn up and they are a great laugh. This years Summer social was last weekend (15th to 17th) and was held at Willow Park, we arranged a BBQ on the Saturday night and a few of us got together to arrange some prizes for the Raffle and we decided the proceeds would go The BDAA. We usually manage to raise a bit more but this year we were short on time due to work commitments (this is all done in our spare time). Prizes ranged from a bottle of vodka to a France fishing holiday for 2! We had many donations from well known bait and tackle companies so we would like to thank Vision baits, Korda, CCMoore, Blavet Valley Lakes, CarpCraft Baits, Defiant MPS, The Bait Company and Edens lakes.

Many thanks
Mark
