The charity is able to offer angling days to help disabled people experience the benefits of fishing, a professional team of fully qualified Level 2 angling coaches & Level 3 sports tutors specialising in disability organize and deliver a professional package clients have included:
  • Mencap
  • Gateway
  • Stroke Association
  • RNIB
  • MS Association
  • Spinal Injuries Association
  • Special schools: physical, Learning, Visual, Behavioral & emotional
  • Adult disability units
  • National Health Service
  • Local Authorities community & residential centres
  • Environment Agency

The team covers the whole of the UK and are able to travel to organize, deliver coaching activities as a package to any disability group.

Although there is a cost for this service by the charity, the coaches themselves are unpaid and only receive out of pocket expenses which are receipted; the BDAA believes in providing a quality service where the client can be assured that the coaches/helpers fully understand the need for patience, understanding, caring, personal & emotional limits, all to ensure we provide an event that will be remembered for many years to come.

Packages can be tailored for all impairment groups regardless of severity & numbers. These can be a combination of indoor & outdoor delivering our partner course www.dreamstore.org/eaz or a stand alone fishing day on an accessible pool (quotes on application).

Within the website there is a range of projects the coaches have been involved with through their qualifications and have been praised for their professionalism in the field of disability, of which each holds a certificate for Disability Awareness, Child Protection, Criminal Records Bureau disclosure, Equity, First Aid & Level 2 Sportscoachuk level 2 angling instruction.

    I have never fished before,and have now got a course angling kit and I don't even know how to put it together,is there any one in the bude area of Cornwall that may be able to help please. thank you chris reeves
