Snowlands Fishery charity match nets BDAA £100.00

Trevor Savory fishery manager contacted BDAA earlier in the year that the event was being organised, last week the trustees gratefully received the donation of £100.00 to the charity, Terry Moseley president of the BDAA commented"
Its great to see in the financial climate that people are still thinking about others and can raise such an amount between just a handful of loyal angler" the trustees passed on their sincere thanks to all those that arranged the day and those who braved the weather in aid of others, they are a credit to angling.

Trevor sent us a few words on the day and some photos of the event.

The day started off in bright sunshine, rained from dusk through to dawn and was then fine for the rest of the day. The event raised £300.00 for the 3 charities selected. The day started with a good breakfast, followed by the draw. It was fished over 4 five hour matches with a rest period in between. Various supporters turned up to bring or cook food for us. In our opinion the event was a great success and we are now planning next years event, only bigger and better.
A total of 9 anglers took part including my wife, not sure if that was a bonus or not.
