Teglan fisheries www.teglan.net was the host of the joint BDAA/Environment Agency Wales & Teglan Fisheries angling participation day.

BDAA had arranged for non anglers of all ages to try fishing for the first time, BDAA coaching team members travelled from Bristol, Oxford & Birmingham to ensure that the days coaching activities were second to none, EA Wales provided FWA level 1 coaches to support the event and offer information about the EA and the work they do in Wales.

Angling participation is very popular in all regions of England & Wales and there is always a high demand by children and adults to attend these coaching days. Teglan is the BDAA`s only Platinum Award winning fishery under the AFAS (link to site) owned and managed by the Mark & David Owen to their credit.

The fishery boasts full wheelchair access, toilet facilities, excellent landscaping, wildlife and a family that cares. Liz Owen provided the food & refreshments during the day making sure the coaches & participations were catered for with the support of Tynant Water & baseball caps as one of the events sponsors.

Your group may wish to experiences some of the activities, please contact us for more information on how your group, school or community could benefit from a BDAA fishing event.
